Somatic, Archetypal & Photographic Work · Glenwood Springs, Colorado

This is the threshold. You have been standing here long enough.

Somatic sessions give your body the time and safety to release what it has been carrying and to express what it has kept quiet. Story, myth, and ceremony give that change its shape and meaning. And when something surfaces that asks to be seen, I create the portrait that witnesses it.

The body knows.
The image remembers.

Most inner work is invisible. You do it, something changes, and you are left holding nothing. Sovereign Splendor is built so the work moves through the body and you have something in your hands to return to.

Mythos & Marrow

The heart of the practice

The story you carry, the body that carries it, and a mirror for who you’re becoming.

Somatic sessions every two weeks and one consistent relationship from beginning to end. Your story runs through all of it, and beneath it we read the myths and archetypes already at work in your life. Three portraits are made as the work unfolds: as you set out, in the in-between, and at your return.

Four founding places, open until the spring equinox, March 20. By invitation or application.

Threshold

Open now, four spots

The work goes deep. Starting doesn’t have to.

Threshold is where the work begins: about six weeks for anyone new to somatic work or ready for a fresh step in. We start with your body as it is today. The aim is that you leave recognizing your own patterns as they happen, with a few practices that are yours, and at the end we decide together whether going deeper makes sense.

  • Four sessions, 75 minutes each
  • Practices and reflection tools between sessions
  • Available online

Investment: $600 for four sessions

In their words

These are from years of portrait work — before the deeper container existed. The six-month practice is new. The seeing is not.

After my session, a whole new journey began. I saw myself through someone else’s lens.
Maddie · portrait session, 2019
Revisiting my images has been a beautiful journey of self-reflection. Each time I look at them, I notice new facets of my beauty and strength.
Nicole · five years after her session
She doesn’t crowd you with her ego. She directs gently, but with a clear goal in mind.
Acasia
It felt like a self-love ritual more than anything else. I felt empowered afterwards — not just sexy or creative.
Alice
I cried reviewing the photos. They marked a tremendous growth for me — in how I saw myself as a woman.

I’m Alicia: somatic practitioner, archetypal guide, and portrait photographer, based out of the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado, in Glenwood Springs. My somatic training comes from the Phoenix Path at Jessica Benstock’s Institute of Transformational Arts: trauma-informed somatic work, energetic tracking, shadow and parts work, and nervous-system regulation. Around it sit anthropology, permaculture, archetypal and mythic study, ritual, and a decade of portrait work.

The first step is a conversation.

Threshold and Mythos & Marrow each have their own application. For anything else, or if you would simply like to talk first, write to me here.
